Sweeping across Korea’s Boys Over Flowers held a fan meeting event on the 7th and 8th of March, with approximately 150 Japan fans participating in it. It was a rare experience to be able to see and took pictures of F4 personally. To the fans, it was really a worth while event.

On March 7, the Boys Over Flowers fan meeting event was held in Seoul. The Japanese fans present highly anticipated the arrival of F4. Just when the OST song [Paradise] by T-Max was played, with the exception of Kim Hyun Joong who was late on that day due to hectic filming schedule, Li Min Ho, Kim Bum and Kim Joon finally arrived.

After they took their place, the TALK SHOW event began. When being asked by the host whether they expected the drama to be so popular, Li Min Ho replied,” Because this drama was adopted from a very popular Japan comic, there are certain degree of expectations. But we did not imagine it to be so popular that it has become a trend, which came to us as a pleasant surprise. We felt grateful for the love and concern given by our fans, and will use it as a support to complete the drama.” Kim Joon also commented that because of the overwhelming support given by the audience, he felt more motivated during the filming.

When asked about the various incidents which occurred during filming, Kim Bum said, “ Although there were many incidents, but there is a Korean saying that some bad things will happen to popular work, so we can only go into this direction to comfort ourselves.” Lee Min Ho also added,” A lot of things happened to our drama cast, like Kim Bum experiencing two car accidents during the filming period. Although the drama is very popular, these incidents were things I regret and will never forget.”

In order to change the atmosphere, the host asked F4 what their greatest fear are. Lee Min Hoo said, “ I am most afraid of people, because people will harm each other and the hurt caused is unforgettable. Hence, I am very careful when dealing with people.” Kim Bum said that he is his own greatest fear because everyone will have moment when they can’t grasp themselves and can’t do things well.

After the TALK SHOW, F4 started to draw lots. The lucky fans who were selected by F4 get to receive gifts such as posters, necklace, etc personally from F4, and could shake hands with them. Towards the end of the lucky draw session, Kim Hyun Joong, who had been busy with his filming, finally arrived at the fan meeting scene. As soon as he arrived, he immediately apologized for his lateness and removed the ring he was wearing as a gift for the lucky fan. He also announced to his fans the good news that SS501 will be going to Japan for concert.

Lastly, F4 members went from one table to the next to take photographs and shook hands with their fans before leaving. To the fans who otherwise can only see F4 in the drama, it was a dream come true to be able to see them personally.

F4’s official activities in Japan began at Tokyo Dome Hotel. After lunch, they first underwent an interview by IMX, followed by interviews from various Japan local magazines. Even after the filming of Boys Over Flowers, F4 and the female lead Koo Hye Sun were still very busy. As they were having interview, they were also discussing about their schedules.

During a photo shoot, they cooperate with each other in harmony, like real brothers. Kim Hyun Joon displayed his charming side while taking the photo, and also not forgetting to smile in an irresistibly cute way, such that the female staff members at the scene could not help but exclaimed, “ So charming!” Watching the four attractive “Flower Boys” and sweet Koo Hye Sun standing together during the shooting, we can finally understand why they are so popular.

Next, they arrived at the “SANKASUSAN” filming scene. F4 also also willing to go outdoor and interact with their fans. The atmosphere of the scene was like a mini fan meeting event, with the program being filmed live. It was known after the filming that on knowing F4’s arrival, the number of fans at the scene increased tremendously, making the scene rather chaotic at the start of the filming,. As such, the originally scheduled twenty minutes of the filming extended to thirty five minutes.

When they arrived, the scene immediately filled with warm cheers, heightening the atmosphere to its peak. The unexpected enthusiastic welcome from their fans caused F4 to suddenly not know how to respond. Lee Min Ho smiled shyly while Kim Hyun Joong gratefully looked at each of his fans, showing his sincerity.

The officially fan meeting was held on April 16 at JCB Hall. Everyone was very busy early in the morning in preparation for the day's activities. Lead singers of the Boys Over Flowers OST songs T-Max and SS501 also arrived in Japan to participate in this event.

There will be two sessions of the fan meeting on that day. One at 2.30 in the afternoon and another 7 at night. There will be approximately 3000 and 6000 fans respectively participating in the event that day.

Its Kim Hyun Joong’s turn to perform. Because SS501 Hyung Joon’s Japan name has the same pronunciation as Hyun Joong, the Japan fans call Hyun Joong “leader”. The finale was performed by SS501, lead by Hyun Joong. At first, the SS501 sub- group Young Seang, Kyu Jong and Hyung Joon sang “ U R Man’. By now, all the fans had stood up. Follow up next was the popular Boys Over Flowers OST “ Because I am Stupid”. With the sudden participation of Hyun Joong in the song, the atmosphere of the scene reached its highest point. SS501 gathered to thank everyone for their support and put up their best performance marked the perfect ending for the event.

In Japan, “Yoon Ji Hoo” was more comfortable than anyone else. This was because since four years ago, Kim Hyun Joong and his group SS501 have been starting various activities in Japan. However, during the official press conference, Hyun Joong unexpectedly appeared to be a little nervous as it was his first time appearing as an actor but not a singer in Japan. When asked how he will introduce Boys Over Flowers to everyone, Hyun Joong confidently said, “ Compared to other versions of Boys Over Flowers, Korean version is more tradition and closer to reality.” He had his own views on the character he acted. “ Yoon Ji Hoo is a sensitive and warm person. Some parts of him are similar to me, but most of his personalities are different from me.” When the host asked which part of Ji Hoo was most unlike the real him, Hyun Joong replied, “ Like a phrase from the script: As long as there is wind, I can go anywhere….. I am not a person who say romantic phrases. I am more masculine. So when the show was aired, I totally did not dare to watch with my family and friends, and will purposely go out when they were watching.”

Although he is already a super star, he thinks that the friends he made from Junior High School are more important than anything else. “ Super Star Kim Hyun Joong’ is far less than “ Ordinary Kim Hyun Joong”. He hopes to maintain his “ordinary” self forever.

Follow up was interview session. When asked how will he handle his emotions if he encounter the same situation in Boys Over Flowers, loving his best friend’s girl friend, Kim Hyun Joong’s answer was surprisingly honest “ I will boldly chase her.” But he added, “ If it’s Jung Min’s girlfriend I will give up” The fans below the stage immediately burst out laughing. “ Because Jung Min is a very scary person” Hyun Joong said. Everyone laughed again.

Kim Hyun Joong is really a person who will not use flowery language to hide his real personalities and this is his unique charm. No matter where he is, as long as he is there, the atmosphere will be filled with liveliness and we will feel so blessed.
